Suffolk University Dakar ELI is a comprehensive program designed to give students the essential language and academic skills required to succeed as university degree candidates. Small classes with highly qualified instructors ensure that students have the necessary attention and structure to prepare for degree-level studies.

The ELI program offers a range of language instruction for students, including day academic preparation classes, adult professionals’ evening classes and corporate English classes and customized private tutorials. Qualified instructors with comprehensive English-language teaching experience teach small classes that give students the necessary personal attention to thrive and succeed.

The comprehensive ELI curriculum emphasizes:

  • Language proficiency, grammar, and vocabulary

Requisite proficiency levels for admission to the following ELI courses:

Intensive day classes pre-intermediate level
Evening classes pre-intermediate level
TOEFL High intermediate level
Private tutorials / corporate classes any level

ELI Sessions

Courses are offered in successive twelve (12) weeks intensive day and nine (9) weeks for the evening sessions, whereas the TOEFL preparation class fifty (50) hours long.

Placement Test

The ELI Department administers low-cost placement test on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00 Pm. Test is 3 000 F CFA and no appointment is necessary.

Intensive day classes: 270 000 F CFA+10 000 F CFA (book)
Evening classes: 100 000 F CFA + 22 000 F CFA (book)
TOEFL preparation: 70 000 F CFA
Private tutorials:  15 000 F CFA / hour
Corporate courses: 15 000 F CFA / hour
